When you start DesktopX you will probably have the Default theme loaded as you see here. If you haven't, then you've probably started experimenting with loading themes and objects, so the next stages will probably be familiar to you. In this tutorial we want to start from a blank canvas, therefore we want to remove the curent DesktopX content from the theme. To do this,
we need to launch the DesktopX configuration dialogue. You can do this
in several ways. In the Default theme clicking the DesktopX icon on the
left underneath the menu will do this, or you can double-click the Desktop
icon in the system tray |

Once you have done this you would barely know you were using DesktopX. It looks like plain old Windows. Let's just consider it as an opportunity - our blank canvas. As we go along, at the end of each section I'll give you an opportunity to download the theme how it should look at each stage. You shouldn't be behind at this stage, but this will give you a chance to catch up if you need to. |
