.:Stellar Frontier News and Notices:.

Latest News: Do you want to host Stellar Frontier servers on the SFDC Nexus (nexus.game-server.cc)? Well, here's finally an easy way for you to do so! Download the .cmd file (zipped up for safe transport) linked to below (the file handles similarly to a batch file) made by the SFDC to help you out. Place it in your Stellar Frontier \binwin directory, run the file, and it will start a Stellar Frontier server with the nexus set to the SFDC Nexus (instead of the default Stardock Nexus, sf.stardock.net, which is now permanently offline - read below for further details on that). Additionally, if you would like to add auto-start codes or input command-line directives (knowledgeable programmers only!), simply add the command to the file by opening it up with Notepad. Remember, Stardock Corporation neither endorses nor supports the file below or the SFDC Nexus in any way and thus cannot be held liable for any damages incurred as a result of using the file below or the SFDC Nexus.

THE FILE

Notice: Stellar Frontier is officially, completely free!!! Yup, you heard that right. If you haven't purchased a Stellar Aces code already in the past, all you have to do to get one is drop us a line, provide your primary e-mail address for Stardock Corporation's database of Stellar Aces/Admiral's Club members, and you will get a legitimate, fully-functional Stellar Aces code straight from Stardock for Stellar Frontier, for free! Now how cool is that?!? No strings, catches, gimmicks, or tricks attached to this offer. Just free codes for all SF players!

Notice: Stardock has been forced to shut down the official Nexus (sf.stardock.net/sf.stardock.com and the backup, sf-x.stardock.net/ sf-x.stardock.com) indefinitely due to damage to the Nexus caused by a ruthless and determined hacker. The Stellar Frontier player community believes this hacker to be a disgruntled player of Stellar Frontier known as Skillet. Stardock is hence not currently operating, endorsing, or supporting any Nexus in Stellar Frontier. There is no official Nexus in the game as of October 2007. Stardock cannot be held liable for any damages incurred as a result of using any alternative or unofficial Nexi, including, but not limited to, the popular "SFDC Nexus" (nexus.game-server.cc).

An unofficial player-run and player-supported Nexus (commonly known as the "SFDC Nexus") can be accessed by changing the (default) sf.stardock.net line in the Play on the Internet box to nexus.game-server.cc. (To do this, click on Play on the Internet, then in the window that pops up, click in the box containing the line sf.stardock.net (the box is located right below where it says NEXUS Name). Replace the sf.stardock.net line in the box with nexus.game-server.cc, then click on the Cancel button in the window. Click on Play on the Internet again now, and you should be all set.) This player-run, unofficial Nexus is completely separate from the official Stardock Nexus and hence in order to play on the SFDC Nexus you will need to create a new player account (you cannot just use an existing Stardock/sf.stardock.net player account). Stardock Corporation neither endorses nor supports the SFDC Nexus in any way and thus cannot be held liable for any damages incurred as a result of using the SFDC Nexus.

.:Some of the Basics of SF:.

.:The Real Action:.

Most of the action outside of the game takes place in the fleet forums and in the two #SF IRC channels. This is where the real talk and debate goes on in the community. Go to irc://irc.stardock.com/sf/ or irc://irc.frozenonline.com /sf/ to find out more. And be sure to check out the official Stardock forum for Stellar Frontier!

.:Fleets:.

Fleets are simply organized fighting forces in the game. In some other games, they are called 'clans' or 'squads'. Most fleets have forums or discussion boards where people can chat and apply to join. Anyone who plays SF can start a fleet if he or she can get other players to join it.
