What is StyleVista?

StyleVista is a program designed to allow users to change the style of Windows Vista's glass user interface.  By default, Windows Vista's glass UI has a hard-coded opacity (how easy it is to see through it) and is colorless.

StyleVista lets users change that opacity and add color to the active and inactive window states.

Eventually, StyleVista will allow users to apply .VistaStyle files which will let users customize the GUI elements further.

How is this different than WindowBlinds?

Stardock WindowBlinds is a program that allows users to re-skin the entire Windows GUI. StyleVista doesn't apply skins. It simply tweaks what is already there. A future version of WindowBlinds may incorporate the features of StyleVista.

Is StyleVista free?

Yes. Though we don't promise there won't be some future "plus" version if we think of something that is really hard and time consuming for us to do. But we plan for StyleVista to remain free.

What do I need to use StyleVista?

At a minimum, you need the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows Vista beta 1 or later (x64 is not supported in the current build). Odds are, StyleVista will get broken and require updates when subsequent updates of Windows Vista are released.
