SET OBJD_NODISKSASFOLDERS=1

Question:

? How do I set the clock on the Control Center into 24 hour mode?

Answer:

! Updating OS/2's system time to 24 hour mode from the COUNTRY settings in the SYSTEMS SETTINGS will update the Control Center's clock to show 24 hour mode also.

Question:

? Why I am I unable to drop new objects onto the browser section of the Control Center?

Answer:

! When "Object are drop targets" is turned on, in the Control Center settings notebook under the Browser page, objects dropped on top of existing browser objects will either move into the folder or execute the application. You need to drop the object onto a neutral area, such as the CPU Meter or the Drive Meters.

Question:

? Why am I unable to drop the Object Desktop folder onto the Control Center's browser section?

Answer:

! If the Control Center is within the Object Deskto folder, OS/2 will not allow you to drop an object onto itself. So you must remove the Control Center from the Object Desktop folder.

Question:

? I lost all the icons on the Tab Launchpad. What should I do?

Answer:

! Sounds like the data table for the TLP has been corrupted. More than likely a Lost and Found Tab was created to store all the icons. You can move these icons back into their respective tabs. But we suggest that you delete the empty Tab Launchpad, then from a command prompt recreate the TLP by running the following Rexx Utility , "OBJDSK /CB" . This will recreate a Tab Launchpad in your Object Desktop folder. Then reconfigure your TLP.

Question:

? How do I get the TabLaunchpad to automatically start when I double click on the desktop, instead of Warp's Launchpad?

Answer:

! You can run the Rexx Utility SETUPTLP.CMD, located in your OBJDESK directory, to toggle between setting the Warp LaunchPad and the Tab LaunchPad as the default launchpad object.

Note: LAUNCHPAD must be in your AUTOSTART line of your config.sys.

Question:

? I like using the Tab Launchpad in Object Desktop, and would like to remove the OS/2 Warp Launchpad? How do I do this?

Answer:

! You can remove the default Warp Launchpad by editing your config.sys and changing the following line:

SET AUTOSTART=PROGRAMS,TASKLIST,FOLDERS,CONNECTIONS,LAUNCHPAD to

SET AUTOSTART=PROGRAMS,TASKLIST,FOLDERS,CONNECTIONS

Question:

? How do I rearrange the objects on the Tabs of the TLP?

Answer:

! First you need to have the option "Objects are Drop Targets" turned on. This option is located in the settings notebook on the Options Tab. Once this is turned on you will be able to grap and object and drop it to its desired location. A thick black bar will appear between the objects , as you drag accross them, indicating a drop zone.

Question:

? Can I filter out certain running processes from the Task Tab, of the TLP?

Answer:

! YES! The filter option of the Task Manager is also linked to the Task Tab of the TLP. Filtering out process from the Task Manager will also be filtered from the Task Tab.

Question:

? I just installed Object Desktop v1.5, and the look of my URL objects have changed. How do I change it back?

Answer:
