Brad Wardell is a veteran game designer and developer with over 20 years of experience. As the founder of Stardock, he built his company from a one-man endeavor to a global software developer and publisher. While at Stardock he has designed the games Galactic Civilizations and The Political Machine, software including Start8, Object Desktop, ModernMix, and Impulse, plus countless other products, Wardell has an in-depth knowledge in how to build successful products from start to finish. He has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, Nightly Business Report, CNN, MSNBC, Time and US News for his entrepreneur and technical expertise.
A 20-year veteran of Stardock, Angela Marshall helped manage its growth from a small, five person company to where it is today. In addition to overseeing the day- to-day operations of the company, she is also responsible for Stardock's software operations that includes Object Desktop, Start10, Fences, etc.
Derek Paxton oversees all the daily operations of Stardock Entertainment and is the lead designer of Fallen Enchantress, as well as the creator and designer of the Fall From Heaven series of games. Prior to joining Stardock, he was an external consultant for Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword and contributed to several of Firaxis' games, including Civilization V.
Chris has joined Stardock from the EdgeRunner software publishing unit to lead business development, operations and monetization strategies. He is an organization focused product and marketing executive with over 20 years of broad business leadership experience in the enterprise software, professional services, publishing and customer success industries. Chris was recruited for his industry experience, leadership skills and ability to drive profitable growth with high rates of customer success and reference ability.
Kristin brings over 20 years of management experience from software companies in the insurance and engineering sectors and is responsible for ensuring communication between all departments and partners. She earned a masters degree in cinema / television production from the University of Southern California.
In late 2014 Tod joined Stardock to build the forthcoming online gaming platform codenamed “Tachyon” and to manage the web development, support and quality assurance groups. A software development and management veteran of 22-years, Tod has led software engineering and QA teams for several companies including TechSmith and Autodesk. He is also the co-founder of the mobile gaming startup Five Lakes Studio. Tod earned a BS in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Toledo.
Adrian joined Stardock in 2014 to build Stardock's new gaming infrastructure and to launch the Stardock Austin studio. He also oversees IT for all Stardock nationally. Before joining Stardock, Adrian spent 18 years growing Blizzard’s Battle.net platform from one to over 1,000 servers and designed the World of Warcraft launch infrastructure.
An artist turned salesman turned digital marketer, Robert has spent the last 15 years of his career fitting his companies solutions together with their customer’s needs. Robert brings a range of expertise to Stardock from his MBA and experience with advertising, sales management, digital marketing, and graphic design.
With over 15 years of experience developing and managing software releases, Angela joined Stardock as the project manager for the desktop software unit in 2013. She was quickly promoted to manager of the quality assurance, support and platform development teams. In addition to being a Batman aficionado, Angela has a BS in Computer Science and a major career accomplishment was designing and developing an electronic medical record system for Henry Ford which supported thousands of medical staff and patients across multiple hospitals.
A 19-year veteran of the video game industry, Brian spent the first part of his career as the publisher for Adrenaline Vault and was a co-founder of NewWorld.com. He moved to the development side of the industry when he joined Stardock in 2005 and enjoys being able to contribute to so many different projects. He’s worked with Ironclad Games, Gas Powered Games, Take 2 Interactive, Jack of All Games, Synnex and many other studios as a producer and as Director of Publishing.
An artist for over 12 years, Jason started out as a freelance illustrator, digital painter and comic book colorist. After joining Stardock he quickly progressed from lead artist to manager on his project. Today he is Director of Stardock's Cinematics team. Previously he worked on card game expansions for Fantasy Flight Games, coloring comics for Image Comics and Zenescope Entertainment, and as an illustrator of kids activity books.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy with a degree in Mathematics, Kim has handled finances at Stardock for over 15 years. Kim also enjoys working with Stardock's feral cat program, where local feral cats are sterilized, placed back into the wild where their ongoing survival monitored and assisted by Kim and other helpful Stardockians.
