  • Accounting Manager

    We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to perform general bookkeeping for multi-company; invoicing and billing activities (AP/AR); maintain financial reports and records; prepare and analyze budgets; and manage relationship with external accounting firm (Plante Moran), such as coordination of annual financial statement review and preparing tax returns.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Manage daily accurate and timely bookkeeping for multiple entities in QuickBooks for the complete accounting cycle: accounts payable transactions, customer invoice creation, preparation of journal entries and related accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations, tracking of fixed asset activity, and maintenance of intercompany activity and records.
    • Manage corporate credit cards, payment of bills, and related reporting/reconciliation.
    • Monthly payment of independent contractors and other work for hire agreements.
    • Annual production of timely and accurate 1099s and 1042s related to contractor payments.
    • Preparation and distribution of royalty reports related to game and software divisions.
    • Filing sales and use tax in multi-state environments.
    • Manage relationship with external accounting firm, including coordination of the annual financial statement review and preparation of necessary tax returns.
    • Review final corporate tax returns and financial statements prepared by the external accounting firm.
    • Partner with executive team to prepare and follow budgets.
    • Participate in the development of controls including analytical tools, reports, and systems to help maintain an effective control environment.
    • Special tasks, analyses or projects as assigned.
    Education and/or Experience Desired:
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
    • 7+ years applicable accounting experience, small businesses preferred.
    • Experience working in privately held, owner managed corporate environment preferred.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Advanced Quickbooks proficiency required.
    • Microsoft Excel proficiency required; experience with advanced formulas (vlookup, sumifs, etc) preferred.
    • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and administrative skills required.
    • Preference and ability to work independently and communicate with leadership as needed.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, and show flexibility when needed is required.

  • Graphics Engineer

    Stardock released the first DirectX 12 game as well as the first game to support both DirectX 12 and Vulkan. We are currently seeking a full-time Graphics Engineer to work on our next generation game engine for both announced and unannounced titles to build up our team of dedicated and experienced talent! This is a salaried, full-time position at our Plymouth, Michigan office.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Develop graphics technologies to enable aesthetics and gameplay.
    • Create and optimize shaders and materials to run on a variety of platforms and machine specifications.
    • Develop systems for animations and special effects.
    • Creating and maintaining game art pipeline.
    Education and/or Experience Desired:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
    • 5+ years of DirectX, Open GL, or Metal experience.
    • Strong proficiency in Math including Linear Algebra, Trigonometry and Quaternions.
    • A passion for optimization and familiarity with optimization tools.
    • Self-motivated, likes to identify and solve problems.
    • Familiarity with Vulkan and excitement about its potential.
    • Very strong C++ background.

  • Associate Art Producer

    We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Art Producer to oversee all responsibilities related to art outsourcing including understanding art goals and needs, securing contractors to fulfill project goals, acceptance of contracted work maintaining consistency and quality, and integrating assets into the game engine. This is a salaried, full-time position at our Plymouth, Michigan office.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Collaborate with the art and design teams to understand and communicate the project's visual goals and maintain consistency and AAA quality.
    • Collaborate with the art and design teams in the creation and overall management of external art schedules and resource plans.
    • Track and provide specific visual feedback on all assets throughout the stages of production to completion.
    • Create and implement the art production pipeline between internal and external productions and enforcing the process throughout the project cycle.
    • Integrate assets (both internally and externally generated) into the game engine.
    • Evaluate external parties for viability and quality and making recommendations on choice of external vendor.
    Education and/or Experience Desired:
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 3+ years of experience required.
    • Prior game industry experience as a producer or technical artist is a huge plus.
    • Portfolio or reel demonstrating the capability to make solid art and design choices.
    • Proficient with industry standard art tools (Maya, Photoshop, etc.).
    • Understands game art production process and methodology.
    • Previous experience with outsourcing, managing external vendors or teams, and directing others through written communication.
    • Effective communication with peers, art staff, and senior management.
