  • .NET Web Developer

    Do you enjoy playing games and have a talent for building robust web pages? Stardock is seeking a .NET Web Developer to help create and develop the metaverse for an unreleased game project! This is a salaried, full-time position located at our Plymouth, Michigan studio with remote work options available currently.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Collaborate with management, designers, and other programmers to develop technical solutions for online game metaverse features.
    • Participate in requirements analysis.
    • Design, develop, or modify application functionalities, components, and modules.
    • Fine tune and optimize application.
    • Utilize C#/.NET to write clean, scalable code.
    • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML5/CSS3 practices.
    • Develop client side code with languages such as, but not limited to ECMAScript and frameworks such as Vue.js.

  • Project Manager

    Do you enjoy playing games and have a talent for planning and organizing dynamic projects? Stardock is currently seeking a talented and organized Project Manager for an unannounced project! This is a salaried, full-time position located at our Plymouth, Michigan studio with remote work options available currently.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Manage the day-to-day roadmap of the online/multiplayer portion of Stardock's upcoming game.
    • Organize tasks with logical orientation to ensure on-time completion.
    • Ensure implementation of game design features as well as creating new ones.
    • Manage upcoming bug reports and prioritize fixes.
    • Collaborate with external partners and vendors on implementation details for gaming platforms (current and next-gen consoles).
    • Continuously convey project status and important information to internal stakeholders.
    • Work with a small team of web developers, database admins, and cloud engineers to build out the game's metaverse and server architecture.
    • Develop and manage documentation of application and process flows.
    Education and/or Experience Desired:

  • Tools Developer

    The Tools Developer creates tools and applications to facilitate the work of artists, producers, and game designers on Stardock projects. Tool work covers the entire gamut of improving the game development process from pipeline development, data editors, and debugging information. The ideal candidate isn't just satisfied that tools merely "work", but that the tool creates an ideal experience for its user.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Design and implement GUI tools used by designers and artists to create content.
    • Work with artists, designers and programmers to create tools/pipelines and workflows as well as determine areas for improvements (speed and to increase tool capabilities).
    • Collaborate with diverse groups within the organization to gather requirements and develop designs.
    • Work with producers to accurately schedule and coordinate cross-team to deliver polished, fully comprehensive experiences.
    Education and/or Experience Desired:
    • 2+ years of professional C# experience. Knowledge of C++, LUA, and XML/XSD are a plus.
    • Demonstrate a solid knowledge of UI/UX principles.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Create cutting-edge game software technology.
    • Develop multi-threaded simulations.
    • Own the architecture and development of multiple core systems (AI, Audio, Physics, Multiplayer, Data Systems, UI/UX, Gameplay, 3D Graphics, etc.).
    • Ensure that complex, dynamic systems work well together.

  • 3D Artist

    We are currently seeking an experienced full-time, 3D Artist, to collaborate with our existing team on assets for an upcoming game title. The ideal candidate will be skillful in creating a variety of assets and have a strong artistic eye. Furthermore, the artist should be comfortable with a technical pipeline involving different tools along with a proprietary in-house engine. Overall, this candidate must be passionate about contributing to the creation of video game experiences beyond simply creating assets.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Produce high quality assets according to design specs, technical requirements and 3D best practices
    • Create terrain assets (heightmaps, static meshes, substances, etc.)
    • Create organic assets (animals, characters, etc.)
    • Create hard surface assets (cars, spaceships, etc.)
    • Create textures using photoshop Substance Painter and Substance Designer
    • Coordinate with games team to ensure project visual and technical standards
    • Create consistent, stylized artwork from concept to finalized asset
    • Complete 3D art on schedule with project milestones
    Education and/or Experience Desired:
    • 5+ Years experience creating 3D art as displayed in visual portfolio
    • 3+ Years professional experience making assets for games
    • Proficient with standard industry tools such as: Z-Brush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max, Maya, World Machine

    Stardock is currently seeking a full-time Application Developer to fix and improve our current Windows software and supporting systems as well as to create new products and technologies. The Application Developer will use a wide skill set to tackle interesting, complex, and varied projects. The Developer should be capable of handling many aspects of an application, including but not limited to performance, scalability, security and testing. This position is based out of our Plymouth, MI location.

  • Graphics Engineer

    Stardock Entertainment continually breaks new technical ground across our catalog of PC game titles spanning 4X and Real-Time Strategy and Action Adventure. We are currently seeking a Graphics Engineer to work on our next-generation game engine for both announced and unannounced titles to build up our team of dedicated and experienced talent! This is a salaried, full-time position at our Plymouth, Michigan studio.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Work with the artists and designers to produce next-generation graphics.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to graphics.
    • Optimize graphics to run on a variety of platforms and machine specifications.
    • Create and maintain tools for artists to visualize and debug their assets.
    Education and/or Experience Desired:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
    • 3+ years experience in C++ required.
    • Familiarity with 3D math, including quaternions and matrix math required.
    • Shipped at least one commercial game.
