Underwater Exploration

I can't recall if this was ever actually officially mentioned, but do we know if underwater exploration is a thing? Has that been brought up yet? If not, what do you guys think? I think it would be pretty sweet. I bet you could hide some really exciting lore stuff on the ocean floor of an exotic alien planet
