Ship Builder instructions...?

Is there any Tutorial Vid or Instructions anywhere on how to use the Ship Designer... & not suck at it?

Also, how does one tell what Ship Parts are from what Race so one doesn't accidentally use the wrong Parts from the wrong Race in one's Ship Design...? Or is mashing parts from multiple Races together a completely normal thing to do...?

P.S. I've decided that I like the Tywom so if I ever get any good at Ship Building i'm tempted to try to build them a real badass mighty Warship for them to defend themselves with. (Tywom Defenders are more fun then useful... or I suck at fighting with them, one of the two...)
