Connection Explorer 1.2 Arrives with Multi-Device Monitoring, Network Visualizations, and More

Today we are releasing Connection Explorer 1.20, and it is packed with updates that will help you better understand where your data is going and who your apps are talking to while using your PC. Rolling out now, you can check for the update directly within Connection Explorer or download the latest version from your account page.
One of the biggest additions in this release is multi-device support. You can now install Connection Explorer on multiple PCs across your network, link them together, and view all of their connection activity in a single, combined map view. Multi-device support also extends to alerts and other connection information, which means that from any PC running Connection Explorer, you can keep an eye on activity across your linked devices without having to check each machine individually.
Also new in this release is a completely overhauled map experience that is far more dynamic than our original design. New bandwidth arcs visualize where data is going and coming from, while a cleaner presentation makes it easier to understand how your data is moving around the world and which connections are generating the most activity.
Connection Explorer 1.20 also introduces a new Visualizations panel that provides entirely new ways to explore the connection data captured by your devices. Constellation, Connection Flow, and Network Weather highlight different relationships within your data, including connection frequency, bandwidth usage, and activity over time. App Fingerprint provides another unique view by showing the typical connection pattern of an application, making it easier to spot when its behavior deviates from its normal operating state.
Along with all of the new features, we have improved how information is displayed on the map for greater clarity, enhanced detection logic for IPv6 connections, refined text and contrast in dark mode for improved readability, and made additional fixes and improvements throughout the application.
If you haven’t tried Connection Explorer yet, you can try it free for 30 days, and it is also included with our award-winning suite, Object Desktop. And as always, if there is a feature you would like to see added to Connection Explorer, make sure to let us know.
