Clairvoyance 0.90 Released: Pool your team's idle GPUs with Hivemind

Free download at Clairvoyance | Object Desktop members get Plus access

Clairvoyance 0.90 is out today, and the big addition is Locama, Stardock's local AI manager, now built right into the app.

Locama handles the installing, running and orchestration of local AI models on Windows, Mac and Linux, and it runs them side by side with the cloud models you already use. You don't need to install a separate program to get started with local AI anymore. One free download allows you to start using local models plus Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor and Grok in a single desktop app that you can reach from anywhere.

Meet Hivemind

The feature we're most excited about is Hivemind. Most companies have perfectly good machines sitting idle every night. Hivemind pools the GPUs in those machines so anyone on your team can send AI work to them instead of paying to run it in the cloud.

It's designed for the routine, high-volume work that makes up much of what businesses actually use AI for: procurement, supply chain management, legal, finance and more.

"When you're tracking tens of thousands of shipments across a supply chain or auditing where a company's money is going, you don't need a frontier cloud model," said Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock Software. "Most enterprises have capable machines sitting idle every night, and Hivemind lets them pool those machines and put them to work."

Local models have come a long way. They now run on a growing number of new PCs and Macs, and they're quickly getting good enough to handle jobs that used to need the cloud.

"It wasn't that long ago that people thought computers would never be viable outside of a datacenter," said Wardell. "Today, people have more computing power on their wrists than was in the Apollo program. So too will it be with AI."

How fast is your hardware?

Locama also includes the Clairvoyance Local AI Benchmark. It scores hardware on model speed, which combines how long a local model takes to process a request with how long it takes to return a full response. Anyone can browse the results for free at clairvoyanceai.com/benchmark, and Clairvoyance Pro users can run the benchmark on their own machines.

Snapdragon support

Earlier this month, Qualcomm named Clairvoyance its premier GenieX developer. That means Windows users on Snapdragon devices can run local models with full agentic capabilities.
