LAN Multiplayer

I guess you could consider myself and old-school gammer by this point in my life.  One thing that I really do miss about RTSs back in the day was being able to play a good game off a local network with a group of friends without everyone needing to be online or have certain accounts.  Much more useful when the world was all dial-up, but it was tremendous fun.  That seems to be going away now with a lot of RTSs requiring some kind of network connection and server to play with others even in the same room.  (It was one of the reasons I stayed far away from SC2 and Diablo 3)

Will this feature be offered in OTW?  If not, could I request this feature be added?
