Us space and sci-fi geeks have been aware of this kind of thing for awhile most likely but it's rare to see it, let alone getting to go experience it, in the real world.

Personally, I feel as though one of the best ways for us to colonise the solar system is by building O'Neill Cylinders. They "generated gravity" in the same way by spinning.
