Releasing Multiplicity 4 Beta 2 with UI and UX Improvements
Article posted on 10/16/2024
Last week, we announced Multiplicity 4, the most advanced software KVM available and this week, we are shipping our first update for the product. Rolling out now is beta 2 and it can be installed by opening the configuration panel, clicking About, and searching for an update.
In this release, we have included a number of UI updates, bug fixes, and a couple of quality-of-life updates as well. On the UI side, Seamless Display™ has been reorganized to make it easier to display available connections and when you mouse-over a device, there are on-screen indicators to show that double-clicking a device will open and close the connection. And on secondary devices that receive a Seamless Display™ connection, there is an on-screen option to disconnect from the secondary machine.
Along with these UI changes, text has been updated during the onboarding tutorial, improved connection dialog for when a connection is rejected because of wrong password or encryption key, and a few other minor updates across the configuration panel.
This release also includes improved compatibility for older devices running CPUs that do not support AVX2, Seamless has been updated for the base version to improve compatibility with more than 1 device, and changes to how hot keys are edited to make it easier to configure the key while editing.
These are only some of the updates that are included in this release and we encourage you to download the update and let us know if you have any feedback as we continue to enhance the application.
If you have not tried Multiplicity 4 yet, you can download a free trial on the app page and it is also included in the award-winning suite, Object Desktop.
