Has stopped working

Was working last time I played, which was a couple of months ago.

I assume I now have the new update, and it doesn't start, just get a popup box saying

 

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)

Click OK to close the application."

 

Downloaded the test version and that is exactly the same.

 

Tried rebooting as well.
