IGN’s Feature on Elemental Modding

IGN has a new article up focusing on the modding abilities in Elemental: War of Magic.  “So what can you actually modify in Elemental? It's a long list, including maps, tiles, items, quests, locations, factions, and monsters. "It's almost easier to say what can't be modified because the game is so data driven via XML," says Wardell. "Even the game's built-in editors are really just pretty front ends for manipulating .XML files that attach .PNG files (for static ima... [read more]

Neoseeker Interview About Elemental Modding, Community, and More!

Neoseeker.com has put up an interview with Stardock’s Brad Wardell about Elemental, including discussions about Modding, Tactics, and more. “ The game is very community driven. Does this make it easier or harder to develop, or both? How? Obviously it makes it better. It makes it harder but better. The Community often overestimates the effort to do some things and underestimates the effort to do other things.  I’ve seen the same guy who would ask for us to have an “option... [read more]

Today we have another published preview of Elemental: War of Magic, this time from the crew at 1up.com! “Elemental: War of Magic is One More Side of Dungeons & Dragons If Dungeon Keeper lets you play as one of D&D's evil overlords, then Elemental lets you play as the king (or queen). The previews for Elemental: War of Magic are rolling in this week, and the latest to hit my inbox is from the fine folks over at GameSpot.  “Our brief tour with the game covered several other additions to the game, such as combat balancing, which is currently intended to fairly let players who focus on combat develop a small army of highly trained warriors equipped with pricey weapons, but to put them on even ground with players who pursued a different research path, such as civi... ApertureGames.com Review of Sins: Trinity

Aperturegames.com has reviewed Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity, and gave it an overall score of 9! “Diplomacy and Entrenchment aren’t typical expansions. They don’t add new races, or many new units.
